Samsung to Unveil Groundbreaking 100W Wireless Charging Technology

Samsung is reportedly preparing a major leap in wireless charging technology, with new leaks claiming the company is working on 100W wireless charging for future Galaxy devices. If true, this would mark a massive jump from Samsung’s long-standing 15W wireless charging limit and put it closer to Chinese brands that have already pushed aggressive wired charging speeds.

The development is said to be tied to Samsung’s next-generation charging ecosystem, potentially debuting alongside upcoming flagship devices and newer versions of One UI. Leaks also suggest the technology could build on the Qi2 standard, which introduces magnetic alignment for better efficiency and reduced heat similar to Apple’s MagSafe approach.

While Samsung has not officially confirmed the 100W figure, recent firmware references to “super fast wireless charging” and growing focus on magnetic charging accessories hint that a major upgrade is finally on the way. Safety, heat management, and battery longevity are expected to be key focus areas if such high wireless speeds are introduced.

More concrete details are expected closer to Samsung’s next flagship launch cycle, where the company could finally redefine its wireless charging strategy.
