Xiaomi 17 Max Is Official 8,000mAh Battery and 200MP Leica Camera

Xiaomi didn’t hold back with the 17 Max. The company’s newest large-screen flagship just went official in China and the two numbers that matter most are 8,000mAh and 200MP. Both are class-leading in their categories right now, and both arrive inside a phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with a 6.9-inch 2K LTPO display at 120Hz. This is Xiaomi’s answer to every buyer who wants everything in one device without compromise.

The battery is genuinely headline-worthy. Most flagship phones in 2026 sit between 5,000mAh and 6,500mAh. Xiaomi fitted 8,000mAh of silicon-carbon battery technology, a chemistry that increases energy density without making the phone unreasonably thick. Paired with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, you’re looking at a phone that charges fast and lasts longer than almost anything else at this tier.

The camera system continues Xiaomi’s Leica partnership 200MP primary sensor, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP periscope telephoto make up one of the most capable triple camera configurations currently available. Leica’s color science and portrait tuning run throughout, and the rounded-square camera island on the rear looks significantly cleaner than previous Xiaomi Ultra designs.

No global launch date confirmed yet the 17 Max may remain China-exclusive, following Xiaomi’s pattern with previous Max-tier devices.
