Vivo X Fold6 Is Official, 200MP ZEISS Camera, 5,000-Nit Display, and a 7,000mAh Battery

Vivo’s foldable lineup just took its biggest leap forward yet. The X Fold6 officially launched in China today, and it’s not a modest upgrade over the X Fold5 bigger battery, faster chipset, upgraded cameras, and durability improvements all land simultaneously, making this one of the most complete foldable packages currently available anywhere.

The inner display leads the spec sheet for sheer numbers. An 8.02-inch AMOLED panel using Samsung’s M14 OLED material hits an astonishing 5,000 nits peak brightness at 144Hz refresh rate figures that would be impressive on a standard flagship, let alone a foldable that needs to manage that brightness across a crease-prone panel. The 6.51-inch cover display handles everyday use when closed, both running ultra-thin bezels for a genuinely premium look.

Performance comes from MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 on 3nm, currently one of the most capable mobile chips available paired with the Mali-G1 Ultra GPU, up to 16GB RAM, and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage at the top configuration.

The camera system is where Vivo’s ZEISS partnership shows its full strength. A 200MP Samsung HPB main sensor with OIS anchors the rear setup, joined by a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP ZEISS APO-certified periscope telephoto reaching up to 200mm equivalent zoom genuinely professional-grade reach for a foldable phone. Dual 20MP selfie cameras cover both the inner and cover displays.

Battery capacity jumps to 7,000mAh using fifth-generation silicon-anode technology, supporting 80W wired and 40W wireless charging with reverse charging included. Durability steps up to IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance alongside a reinforced hinge and a new Universal Signal Amplification System 3.0 for stronger cellular and Wi-Fi reception, addressing a common foldable complaint about signal degradation.
