itel has officially introduced the itel City 200, a new budget smartphone designed to offer a modern design and smooth display experience at an affordable price point. The device is gradually rolling out across emerging markets and targets users looking for solid everyday performance without spending much.
The City 200 features a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother scrolling compared to typical entry-level phones. The display adopts a punch-hole design and is paired with a slim body that gives the device a more premium look than its price suggests.
Powering the phone is a Unisoc octa-core chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM (including virtual RAM support) and up to 256GB storage, allowing for smoother multitasking and adequate storage for apps and media. The device runs Android 15 (itel OS) out of the box.
For photography, the handset carries a 50MP main rear camera alongside an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. While the setup is modest, itel focuses on AI-based enhancements to improve everyday photo results.
