Samsung just pushed out the seventh One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S26 series, and the pace is starting to look unusual. Beta 6 landed around August 25-26, which means Beta 7 arrived only about three days later, a build carrying the August 5 security patch, a fix for intermittent random reboots, and a batch of AI features borrowed from Samsung’s newer foldables.
The AI additions are the headline here. My FanCam, Call Brief, customizable Now Brief cards, and improved Photo Assist are all reportedly part of the roughly 1.2GB ZZHK build, features that debuted on Samsung’s latest foldable lineup before making their way to the S26. That’s notable because Samsung had initially left some of this functionality out of the S26’s beta builds entirely, so Beta 7 is effectively catching the phone up.
The rollout so far covers the UK, South Korea, India, Poland, and Germany, with the US missing from this initial wave despite being part of the original six-country beta program that kicked off back in May. Samsung has also stopped accepting new beta testers in South Korea, a sign that pointed toward Beta 6 being the finish line before this extra round showed up.
There’s an odd wrinkle sitting alongside all this: the Galaxy S26 FE launched running stable One UI 9 out of the box, while the pricier S26 series it’s meant to sit below is still on its seventh beta. Samsung hasn’t confirmed a stable release date, but seven betas in is a lot of testing for a lineup that’s supposed to be ahead of its own budget sibling.
