Samsung has started rolling out the third One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy A15 5G in India. The build carries firmware version A156EDXUAZZJ8, weighs 334.34 MB, and bumps the security patch level to October 2026. It is available only to units enrolled in the beta program, and Samsung announced it on a Samsung Members community thread for Indian users.
This is a small maintenance build. The official changelog lists a single bug fix: an issue where the device keeps restarting after the software upgrade. The wording points to a problem that appears after installing a new build, so it should not be read as a fix for every random reboot on the phone. The October patch resolves 62 security issues.
The A15 5G became the first Galaxy A1x phone to join the One UI 9 beta program when Beta 1 landed in India in September. Beta 2 followed on September 30, about a week later, and Beta 3 now arrives roughly two weeks after that. Here is how the three builds compare.
| Build | Firmware | Size | Security patch | Changelog highlights |
| Beta 1 | A156EDXUAZZI2 | 2,758.85 MB | September 2026 | Initial One UI 9 build |
| Beta 2 | A156EDXUAZZIC | 499.60 MB | September 2026 | Lock screen wallpaper bug fixed, slow camera photo processing fixed, Quick Share updated |
| Beta 3 | A156EDXUAZZJ8 | 334.34 MB | October 2026 | Restart-after-upgrade bug fixed |
Beta 3 brings no new features, and the phone remains on the same One UI 9 build that Beta 1 introduced. The shrinking download sizes follow the usual pattern, since Beta 1 was a full OS jump and later builds are incremental.
Enrolled testers can grab the update from Settings > Software update > Download and install (some menus show Check for updates instead). Since this is beta software, backing up important data before installing is a sensible step.
For readers in Pakistan, the beta is limited to India for now, so local Galaxy A15 5G owners cannot enroll, and no timeline has been shared for other regions. Samsung has also not said how many more betas the phone will receive before the stable release. The A15 5G is eligible for Android 17 and Android 18 under Samsung’s update promise.
