Galaxy S24 Series Starts Getting Stable One UI 9 in South Korea

Galaxy S24 Series

Samsung has started rolling out the stable, Android 17-based One UI 9 update to the Galaxy S24 series. The rollout has begun in South Korea for users who took part in the One UI 9 beta, covering the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. The first confirmed stable release is for the Korean Galaxy S24 Ultra, carrying firmware S928NKSU6EZIF, and a Korean S24 Ultra user on Samsung’s community forum is already reporting that they’ve finished the beta and moved to the stable version.

It’s the same One UI 9 update that’s been spreading across newer Galaxy devices, so S24 owners get the same Galaxy AI and interface changes, although feature availability can vary by model, region and language. What’s new here is mainly the timing. The S24 series only received the September security update globally a few days ago, and that update was still based on Android 16 rather than stable One UI 9, which makes this a quick turnaround for a phone that had been waiting on the major upgrade.

For now, the rollout is limited. Non-beta users in South Korea and other countries are expected to follow, but the update hasn’t been confirmed as globally available yet. Samsung’s official One UI 9 announcement says the update will gradually roll out to other Galaxy devices, and it lists the Galaxy S24 among the phones that support Privacy Alerts, so a progressive expansion is what to expect. If you’re on the beta, you can check for the update under Settings > Software update > Download and install.
