Samsung has released the second One UI 9.0 beta for the Galaxy A55, rolling out in South Korea on September 21 under build ZZI4. It’s built on Android 17, and unlike the first beta, the update is purely a polish pass; the changelog only mentions improved camera stability, with no new features listed.

Samsung opened the Galaxy A55’s One UI 9 beta program earlier this month, first in India and South Korea, with a roughly 2.1GB download carrying the September security patch. The A55 is one of several Galaxy A devices in this beta cycle, alongside the A57, A56, and A36, and it’s now on its second round of testing along with the A35 a sign Samsung is moving deeper into the process, even though a stable release date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Samsung has already begun rolling out stable One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series starting September 16, and other eligible devices are expected to follow gradually. For the A55, Beta 2 is expected to expand to other markets where the beta program is available, following the same pattern as the first beta.
