The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE just cleared a real regulatory hurdle. According to a report, the phone has shown up in an FCC filing that confirms 45W wired charging, reverse wireless charging, and a vertically stacked triple-camera setup, one of the last checkpoints a phone typically passes before Samsung locks in a launch date. FCC listings don’t leak specs on their own, so this counts as one of the more solid confirmations in the S26 FE rumor cycle so far, even though Samsung hasn’t said a word officially.
Timing still isn’t nailed down. One leak points to September 4, while other reports push it later in the month, so treat the exact date as a placeholder until Samsung sends out invites.
On paper, the S26 FE looks like a modest but real step up from last year’s model. It’s tipped to run Samsung’s Exynos 2500, the same 3nm chip found in the Galaxy Z Flip 7, replacing the Exynos 2400 in the S25 FE. A Geekbench listing reportedly caught a prototype running that chip with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Battery capacity is rumored at around 5,100mAh, a real bump over the S25 FE’s 4,500mAh cell, though charging speed holds steady at 45W. The display stays familiar too: 6.7 inches, Dynamic AMOLED 2X, FHD+, 120Hz, though claims of LTPO support remain unconfirmed.
Camera-wise, leaks describe a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP 3x telephoto with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 12MP front camera, alongside IP68 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus+. One listing floated a price near $1,015, but that number hasn’t been tied to any official Samsung source and shouldn’t be treated as reliable, especially since the S25 FE launched at $649.
If the FCC filing is any indicator, Samsung is running out of runway to keep this one under wraps. Anyone eyeing a mid-range Galaxy this fall should expect official confirmation within the next few weeks rather than months.
