A fresh leak points to a real price bump for Samsung’s Galaxy S26 FE, and if it holds up, the phone that’s supposed to be the value pick in Samsung’s lineup is about to get noticeably less value-y. The numbers come from French retailer listings via leaker bilibil-kun on Dealabs, a source with a decent track record on French pricing but no official backing from Samsung so treat this as informed rumor, not confirmation.
According to the leak, the S26 FE will ship in three storage tiers 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB with prices climbing by roughly €50, €90, and €150 respectively over the Galaxy S25 FE’s equivalent tiers. That puts the entry 128GB model around €799 in France, up from the S25 FE‘s €749 launch price. Extrapolated to the US, where the S25 FE started at $649, that could translate to a starting price near $700, though European and American pricing don’t always move in lockstep.
Worth noting: Samsung dropped the 128GB tier entirely from the standard Galaxy S26 lineup this year to nudge buyers toward pricier configurations, but leaks suggest the FE is keeping it. That’s a small mercy, though it doesn’t offset the broader hike.
The likeliest culprit is industry-wide memory pricing, which has been squeezing margins across the phone market this year, not just at Samsung. Layer on reported upgrades: an Exynos 2500 chip, a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel, and camera tweaks focused on video and front-facing performance and Samsung’s pitch seems to be that the FE now earns its higher price rather than apologizing for it. The phone is expected to launch around September 1, 2026, in Graphite, Aqua Green, and a blue-purple finish, following the same roughly eight-month cadence Samsung has kept since the S20 FE.
If these numbers stick, the FE’s core appeal flagship features at a real discount gets harder to argue. It’ll still likely undercut the standard Galaxy S26, but the gap is shrinking, and shoppers who bought an FE specifically to avoid flagship pricing may want to watch how close that gap actually gets before assuming this is still the deal it used to be.
