Oppo Reno16 Series Goes Global Starting Today

Oppo’s Reno16 series is going global starting today, June 25, with Thailand and Spain getting the first crack at what is shaping up to be one of the more camera-ambitious mid-range lineups of 2026. Indonesia follows on July 3, Malaysia on July 8, and India is expected shortly after, though Oppo hasn’t locked in an exact date for that market yet.

The global lineup covers four models Reno16, Reno16 Pro, Reno16 F, and Reno16 FS but the two that matter most are the standard and Pro. Oppo’s “3D Pop Planet Design” carries over from the Chinese launch, giving both phones a distinctive circular camera island with a cosmic-themed aesthetic that’s clearly aimed at younger buyers and content creators.

The camera story is what makes this series worth paying attention to. The Reno16 Pro keeps the 200MP main camera that launched in China, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide, a 50MP telephoto, and a 50MP selfie camera. A quad-camera setup where every lens hits 50MP or above is genuinely unusual at this price tier, and Oppo has made the smart call to retain the flagship imaging hardware globally even while trimming elsewhere.

That trimming is the one thing worth flagging honestly. The Chinese Reno16 Pro runs on Dimensity 9500s with a 7,000mAh battery. The global version steps down to a Dimensity 8550 and a 6,700mAh battery. The camera system is intact, but the chip underneath it is a tier lower. For most users this won’t be a dealbreaker; the Dimensity 8550 is a capable processor but it’s a detail worth knowing before comparing spec sheets between the two versions.

The standard Reno16 runs on Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 globally, features a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED at 120Hz, and carries IP69 water resistance. Both phones ship with Android 16 and ColorOS 16, and Oppo is leaning hard into AI features including AI Remix Collage and a suite of portrait and editing tools.
