Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series is set to bring faster wireless charging, according to a recent listing on the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) website. The models listed believed to be the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra confirm support for the Qi 2.2.1 wireless charging standard, enabling speeds of 20W or higher, with rumors suggesting the S26 Ultra could reach 25W wireless charging.
However, the series won’t include magnetic support. The phones are compatible only with the Base Power Profile (BPP) rather than the Magnetic Power Profile (MPP). This means they cannot attach to Qi2 magnetic accessories like chargers or mounts, and magnets can only be used through compatible cases.
While the improved wireless charging speeds are a welcome upgrade, the omission of magnetic support may disappoint users who were expecting a MagSafe-like experience in Samsung’s premium lineup.
