Just days after its debut, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is receiving a substantial HyperOS 3.0.7.0 update that brings notable new features including improved 200 MP camera functionality and deeper integration with Apple devices alongside performance and UI enhancements.
The update, rolling out via HyperOS 3.0.7.0 (WPACNXM) over-the-air to early markets, refines the flagship’s camera capabilities by introducing a new 200 MP mode optimized for high-resolution shooting. This mode supports continuous zoom from approximately 3.2× to 4.3×, faster capture speeds, enhanced portrait clarity and smarter AI shooting guidance, making full use of the phone’s powerful 200 MP imaging hardware.
On the ecosystem front, the update adds broader Apple device compatibility, a rare cross-platform push for an Android flagship. After installing HyperOS 3.0.7.0, the 17 Ultra can sync notifications with iPhones, share files with NFC to Apple devices, and even mirror apps or share hotspot connections on iPads and Macs. In some scenarios, users may be able to unlock their Xiaomi phone using Touch ID or Face ID on a paired Apple device, strengthening cross-ecosystem functionality.
Beyond camera and Apple sync features, the update improves overall system responsiveness by tweaking compiler instructions and memory recycling to reduce power draw, enhances graphics rendering and smooths out UI animations, while also refreshing icons, lock screen clock placement and dynamic wallpapers (including AI-powered animated backgrounds).
Additional refinements include an expanded Super Island multitasking hub with floating windows and real-time draggable notifications, smarter searchable gallery widgets and updated tools within native apps like Calendar and Recorder.
The HyperOS 3.0.7.0 OTA rollout is staged by region, with the earliest availability in China. Global units of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra are expected to receive the stable update in the coming weeks, extending these camera and connectivity-focused enhancements to international users as well.
