Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will receive a global launch, putting an end to speculation about a China-exclusive release. The confirmation comes via recent regulatory listings and certifications, which clearly point to an international rollout following the phone’s initial debut in China.
The global variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has appeared in FCC and IMEI databases, with listings confirming support for 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, Bluetooth, and wireless charging. The presence of a global model number strongly suggests Xiaomi is preparing the device for multiple markets, including Europe and other regions outside China.
According to current leaks, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to ship with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and will likely be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The phone is also rumored to feature a large 2K LTPO display with a high refresh rate, keeping it competitive with other ultra-premium flagships.
Camera hardware is once again expected to be a major focus. Reports point to a high-end triple-camera setup, potentially including a 200MP telephoto sensor, signaling a notable upgrade over the previous Ultra model and reinforcing Xiaomi’s push into professional-grade mobile photography. As for timing, leaks suggest the China launch could happen toward the end of 2025, with the global release following in early 2026. Pricing details remain under wraps, but Xiaomi is expected to position the 17 Ultra alongside other top-tier flagships, likely close to the pricing of its predecessor.
