WhatsApp is introducing a refreshed visual experience for iPhone users with the arrival of Apple’s Liquid Glass design language on the app. While Meta has not yet made an official announcement, several iOS users have started noticing the new interface after updating to the latest version of WhatsApp.
The design changes are subtle yet noticeable, giving the app a more translucent and fluid appearance that matches Apple’s new iOS aesthetic. The tab bar and navigation panels now appear softer and more polished, blending more naturally with the rest of the iPhone interface.
According to reports from WABetaInfo, the Liquid Glass UI is currently part of a limited rollout, available to select users on iOS version 25.28.75. Meta began testing this new look in beta builds last month, and it appears that the company is gradually expanding access as part of its phased update approach.
In addition to the design refresh, WhatsApp’s latest iOS update brings a few functional upgrades, including support for Live Photos and on-device translation for text messages. These features make the app more in tune with Apple’s system capabilities, enhancing both usability and performance.
Given WhatsApp’s massive global user base, major interface updates like this tend to roll out slowly. Some users may not see the Liquid Glass effect immediately, but it is expected to reach more devices over the coming weeks as Meta continues to test stability and performance.
