Alright guys, finally the Vivo X300 Pro is in the house. I’m giving you an exclusive look, folks. I have a lot of things to tell you about this phone. In my opinion, it’s going to be one of the craziest camera smartphones of 2026. Give your opinion about this phone in the comments.
Design & Build

Let’s talk about the design and build. So, the X300 Pro is very familiar to the X200 Pro. At first glance, it looks exactly the same, doesn’t it? But yes, it is the same, but the changes are very good and welcome.
The first thing is that the back, which was slightly curved before, has now been made completely flat. And yes, you were getting a matte effect on the glass back before as well. This time, what they’ve done is that the matte finish on the glass back now takes fewer fingerprint smudges; it used to take more before. So this is a very good change.
Also, the frames are aluminum, just like before. But this time, they’ve made the frame matte. Previously, it was a bit glossy, so it would pick up fingerprints, but that’s not the case at all now. Along with this, the edges now have a much greater curve. So this gives a feel somewhat like the iPhone 17 series. And holding it, it definitely feels a bit more comfortable than the X200 Pro.
Additionally, on the side, towards the top, this time, they have added an Action Button or Shortcut Button, whatever you want to call it, similar to the iPhone 17 series. Its interface in the settings is completely like the iPhone 17 series. You can silence the ringer or toggle any other function you want. There are two options: by press and hold or by double press.
And I also noticed one more thing: considering both have the same size, the X300 Pro has been made slightly smaller. It feels more compact in hand compared to the X200 Pro.
One more change is that the camera layout on the back is the same as before. But this time, they have removed the ring that was around the side before. So this now looks more compact. The reason is that this phone will support a teleconverter photographic kit and they have made it compact here to attach that.
You get an 8 mm thickness and a weight of 229 grams. So the thickness is good, but it definitely feels heavy in the hand, just like the X200 Pro.
Besides that, there are dual speakers. The quality of the speakers has been significantly improved this time. You get the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor as before. You also get dual nano-SIM. And yes, they have improved the X-axis linear motor this time. This is the largest ever in their X series. When I compared it with the X200 Pro, I definitely felt that the haptic feedback on the X300 Pro was better. I’m making this clear.
It also has a USB 3.2 port. Besides that, it has IP68, 69, and IR Blasterall; all these things are present here.
Display

Now, the display is completely the same as the X200 Pro. The size is also the same, everything is the same: 120 Hz, 1.5K resolution, LTPO, 6.78 inches, 4500 nits brightness everything is the same. So, where are the changes?
Two things have changed here. The X200 Pro had a slightly quad-curved display. This time, they have made it completely flat. Also, the bezels this time are 1.1 mm thinner. The difference is noticeable when you look very closely compared to the X200 Pro. Otherwise, the bezels are equally good on both. And you get Armor Glass protection. Apart from that, we haven’t noticed any other changes in the display as such.
Vivo X300 Pro Camera

Let’s talk about the real deal, guys, the cameras.
This time, the camera has incremental updates, but they have done many things that we expected.
First, the primary sensor is the same 50 megapixels. Earlier, the X200 Pro had the Sony LYT-818. This time, they have used the 828. So the sensor is slightly improved. You get 8K 30fps as before. There’s 4K 60fps and 4K 120fps. OIS is included. There is Zeiss T coating*, and two important sensors, laser autofocus and color spectrum sensor are placed on the back.
The other 200-megapixel periscope sensor is also the same. But earlier, the HP9 was used. Now they have used the HPB. They’ve clarified that this will provide better clarity and slightly improved stabilization than before. However, the optical zoom is slightly reduced this time. It was 3.7x, and now they have made it 3.5x.
Besides that, the 50-megapixel ultrawide is the same Samsung sensor; there are no changes there. All sensors can shoot video at 4K 60fps. There are no changes as such in this.
Now, let’s talk about the selfie camera. It has become a 50-megapixel selfie camera, which was 32-megapixel before. Autofocus is present, and in fact, 4K 60fps is also included. And one new change here is that you now get 2x zoom in the selfie camera, which was not there before.
And yes, we saw one more thing in the camera: a new option called ‘AI Visual’ has appeared, which was not there before. And if you are thinking this is an Origin OS or Funtouch OS feature, it is not. Our X200 Pro, which also has Origin OS, does not have this feature. So, basically, this is a new feature of the X300 Pro that we saw in the camera. With this, you can automatically separate the subject from the background or adjust the frame using AI.
Now, where the Vivo X200 Pro had the V3 Plus chip, which is a post-processing chip and helps in many scenarios, this time they have used their own in-house VS1 chip. This is for pre-processing. Vivo stated that it will primarily give you improved clarity. The frame is automatically optimized when you shoot. Along with this, the shutter speed will be better than before. You can capture photos in milliseconds here. They most probably suggested that when you take photos with the telephoto lens, the stabilization will be better because the faster you tap the shutter, the faster it clicks the photo, and in return, it gives you pictures with better clarity. This is the job they described for it.
Now, let’s talk about the pictures. We first took normal pictures. The human portraits have turned out quite well. No doubt, the picture quality is very great. The clarity is superb in itself. And in portrait mode, you get almost 5 zooms, as always, like in the X200 Pro. Up to 135x is similar this time too. We also did a slight comparison with the X200 Pro in this regard. If I were to say so, we didn’t notice much difference between the two here. The X200 Pro was also taking quite good photos, and this one is similar.
But there are some changes in the selfie camera. In some scenarios, we saw that the dynamic range of the X300 Pro was slightly better compared to the X200 Pro. In fact, even in video, the dynamic range of the X300 Pro seemed slightly better to me. They have worked on this a bit. I am talking about rear video. And if you look at the selfie video, the X300 Pro gets a bit dark, a bit contrasty. But notice one thing: it gives you better dynamic range compared to the X200 Pro.
As for colors, look, we took some portrait photos. It becomes Vivid by default. Sadly, we noticed one thing in the X300 Pro: there is no ‘None’ option for filters. You automatically have to keep it on Vivid or Texture. You don’t have the ‘None’ option like the X200 Pro had. So, this was a problem we faced.
All the photos we took were in Texture and Vivid. Even in this, when we compared it with the X200 Pro, we didn’t see much difference.
And yes, talking about Cinematic Portrait, this time you get 4K 60fps Cinematic Portrait video. Along with that, Dual Focus 4K 120fps Cinematic Slow Motion, Dual Focus 4K 120fps Dolby Vision HDR, and Dual Focus 4K 120fps 10-bit Log video. Some of these were present before, and some are new, but they have been significantly improved.
And the Zoom photo has been greatly worked on this time. As I mentioned, they have installed the VS1 chip. If you look at this 100x zoom photo, the X300 Pro definitely takes photos with much better clarity compared to the X200 Pro. And in the video as well, you get 20x zoom, and the clarity is good, just like the X200 Pro had before. This time it is similar.
The night photos are also quite good. Not extraordinary, I would say. We saw similar results in the X200 Pro. The photos are similar. Rear portraits and such look good. But it brightens the face too much sometimes in some night scenarios. And the selfies are also good. But we noticed some edge detection issues in some selfies. Now, this is a Chinese variant, so I won’t talk much about it. It might be optimized after it arrives Global.
If you look at the night zoom photos as well, they are very impressive. The zoom photos are great. In fact, it works in the night just as it does in the day.
Vivo X300 Pro Processor

For performance, guys, you get the Dimensity 9500. Yes, it was 9400 before, now it’s 9500. This is also built on the 3nm process. The AnTuTu score is super crazy, more than 3 million. And we also did a CPU throttling test, which gave scores of 91%, which was very interesting.
Ram And Storage

It comes with LPDDR5X Ultra and UFS 4.1. The UFS provided this time is four-lane storage. This will definitely help you a lot for 5G, AI, and other heavy tasks.
Gaming

We tried games on it. You can play all games at high FPS. We played PUBG and Call of Duty. There is no problem as such. And overall, we will do a detailed test when it arrives and see how much this chipset heats up and how it performs.
For software, this phone comes with Origin OS 6 with Android 16 out of the box.
Battery
The battery capacity has also been improved this time. The X200 Pro had a 6000 mAh battery. This time, they have given a 6510 mAh battery. They have essentially used Silicon Anode here. Along with this, you get 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging as well. This means you will be able to fully charge it in about 50 minutes to 1 hour. Overall, the battery capacity has been good for as long as we have experienced it. We have been using it for two days.
Conclusion
Finally, let’s talk about the price and my opinion. We will tell you the exact price when it comes out Globally. But talking about the China price, it starts from the 12GB RAM/512GB Storage variant, which is approximately $744 (based on a conversion of the stated price at the time of the search). The China prices are definitely very aggressive and good. However, we know that by the time it reaches the region, its price could potentially increase to around $910 – $1,025 or even up to $1,140. This depends on the circumstances because I feel that it might come with a slight increase over the price at which the X200 Pro came to the region. It depends. There is no clarity on that yet. Let’s see how it goes. But in my opinion, this is a super crazy smartphone with super crazy features. Let’s see how it competes against the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the S26 Ultra next year. We will gradually do all the comparisons and let you know everything.
