
Vivo has officially expanded its V-series lineup with the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite, bringing premium-style features to the mid-range segment in India. The new series launched on 19 February 2026 with a focus on advanced imaging, large battery capacity, and robust performance.
Display & Design
Both the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite sport a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness. The panel delivers vibrant colours and smooth visuals, while the devices come with IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance and an aerospace-grade metal frame for added durability.
Performance
The two models share many core specs but differ mainly in chipset:
- Vivo V70: Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with Adreno 722 GPU, paired with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.1 storage.
- Vivo V70 Elite: Upgrades to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with Adreno 735 GPU and configurations up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.
Both phones run Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and promise four years of major OS updates and six years of security patches, a strong support commitment for longevity.
Camera System
Photography is a major highlight of the V70 series. Both models carry a Zeiss-tuned triple camera setup:
- 50 MP main sensor (Sony IMX766) with OIS (optical image stabilization)
- 50 MP super telephoto (Sony IMX882) with 3× optical zoom and OIS
- 8 MP ultra-wide lens
- 50 MP front camera with autofocus
The camera system supports 4K video recording at 60 fps and advanced ZEISS imaging modes, promising flexible shooting options from wide landscapes to detailed closeups.
Battery & Charging
A 6,500 mAh battery powers both devices, paired with 90W fast charging support for quick top-ups. The large cell ensures excellent battery life even with heavy use, making the phones suitable for long days of streaming, gaming, or multitasking.
Connectivity & Extras
The V70 series includes support for 5G networks, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS (with multi-band support including NavIC), USB-C, and an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Both models also feature stereo speakers and Hi-Res audio support for immersive multimedia.
