June 23, 2025 Former President Donald Trump is making headlines again, this time in the tech world. His latest venture, Trump Mobile, has officially launched offering a new mobile network and a smartphone branded as the T1. The move blends political branding with consumer tech, and it’s already stirring conversation.
A New Wireless Service Backed by the Trump Brand
The mobile service runs under T1 Mobile LLC, managed by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. Instead of building a network from scratch, the service partners with major carriers like AT&T or Verizon meaning users will still rely on existing infrastructure.
The plan being promoted is called “The 47 Plan”, named after Trump’s bid to become the 47th U.S. president. It costs $47.45 per month and promises unlimited calls, data, and texts. It also comes with a few extras, like telehealth access, military-friendly features, and roadside assistance.
The T1 Smartphone: What’s Inside?
Along with the service, the Trump team has introduced the T1 smartphone, which is being marketed as a premium, U.S made device. It’s selling for $499 and includes:
- A 6.8-inch AMOLED screen
- 50MP rear camera
- 12GB RAM, 256GB storage
- 5G-ready
- Large 5000mAh battery
On paper, the T1 looks like a solid mid-range Android phone. The twist? It’s being sold as a Made in America device though experts are skeptical.
Is It Really Made in the USA?
Despite the messaging, it’s unlikely that the T1 is built entirely in the United States. Many of the components used in modern smartphones come from overseas, and the infrastructure for full U.S.-based manufacturing just isn’t there right now.
In fact, some have pointed out that the phone design looks very similar to existing devices on the market, possibly suggesting it’s a rebranded model.
What We Know About Availability
The phone is currently available for pre-order, with shipping expected to start by August 2025. The mobile plan launches at the same time.
If you’re curious, you can sign up through the official Trump Mobile website, though the phone itself hasn’t been shown in real photos yet only digital mockups have been released so far.
Closing Thoughts
Trump Mobile and the T1 phone aren’t just tech products, they’re political statements in a way. Whether it catches on or not remains to be seen, but the launch definitely adds a new twist to the 2024 election backdrop. For supporters, it’s a way to buy into the brand. For skeptics, it raises more questions than answers.
