The upcoming Tecno Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro have been spotted on the Google Play Console and supported devices list, revealing key details about the next generation of Tecno’s camera-focused mid-range lineup.
According to the Play Console entries, both Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro will run Android 16 with Tecno’s HiOS on top, and come with 8 GB of RAM as shown in the listing. The screens on both models are expected to use Full-HD+ resolution (1080 × 2364 pixels), offering sharp visuals for media and apps.
Design renders from the console show that the standard Camon 50 will have a flat display with a central hole-punch selfie camera, while the Camon 50 Pro sports a curved edge display with a pill-shaped cutout, likely for dual front-facing sensors or advanced selfie features.
On the performance side, both models are currently listed with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset in the Play Console data, paired with 8 GB of RAM suggesting smooth day-to-day usage and solid efficiency for the mid-range segment.
The proximity of these listings on certification platforms, including Play Console and Google Play supported devices lists, strongly points toward an imminent launch, potentially as early as February 2026 or at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, following the pattern of the Camon 40 series last year.

Separately, Tecno has previously developed Eagle Eye Lens dual-prism periscope telephoto technology an advanced periscope camera system with AI tracking and enhanced stabilization which the brand could integrate into higher-end models in future releases (though this specific feature hasn’t yet been confirmed on the Camon 50 series from official Play Console data).
