Apple has rolled out the second Release Candidate (RC 2) of iOS 26.2, signaling that the final public release is only days away. The new build follows the first RC issued last week, suggesting Apple is applying last-minute fixes before the update goes live for all compatible iPhones.
The update includes several small but notable additions. The Lock Screen “Liquid Glass” slider lets users fine-tune the clock’s transparency, offering a cleaner look for wallpapers. Apple has also improved AirDrop, adding a one-time code system that allows file sharing with users outside your contacts for up to 30 days.

The rollout also enables AirPods Live Translation for users in the EU, expanding the feature’s availability. Other adjustments include updated animations across the interface, small layout tweaks in the Games and Podcasts apps, new alarm options in Reminders, and additional CarPlay controls such as the ability to disable pinned Messages.
