Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy W26, a China-exclusive, luxury variant of the Galaxy Z Fold7. The W26 keeps the Fold7’s hardware but adds premium finishes, exclusive packaging and China-specific features like Tiantong satellite connectivity.

The W26 sports an 8.0-inch Dynamic AMOLED main display (folded: large internal panel) and a 6.5-inch cover screen, both with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR support. Brightness and color tuning match flagship Fold7 levels.

Under the hood sits the Snapdragon 8 Elite (for Galaxy) with 16 GB RAM and storage options up to 1 TB. It ships with Android/One UI matching Fold7 software and Galaxy multitasking optimizations.

Camera hardware is upgraded from older Folds: the W26 uses a 200 MP primary sensor, supported by an ultrawide and a telephoto module, delivering high-resolution shots and advanced computational imaging.

Battery capacity is similar to the Fold7 family, with support for 25 W wired charging (official spec) and wireless charging. The W26 differentiates itself through a premium retail bundle and design touches gold accents and luxury materials aimed at business users and collectors.

Connectivity highlights include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and Tiantong satellite support for China. Pricing at launch: CNY 16,999 (16GB + 512GB) and CNY 18,999 (16GB + 1TB).

Verdict

The W26 is essentially a Fold7 under a luxury skin with the same flagship core, but with a more exclusive package and China-focused extras.
