Samsung has confirmed that it will expand Galaxy AI to more than 400 million devices by the end of 2025. This marks one of the biggest moves in the tech industry, showing how strongly the company is betting on artificial intelligence. The plan is not limited to its latest flagship phones but will also cover foldables, tablets, PCs, and wearables, making AI tools accessible to a much wider audience.
The Galaxy AI features include Circle to Search, which allows users to find information simply by circling an item on the screen, live translation for real-time calls and conversations, and Gemini Live, an AI-powered assistant that can interact with what’s on display in real time. Other highlights are Photo Assist, which uses generative AI for image editing, and Audio Eraser, which removes background noise for clearer recordings. These features were first introduced with the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year, but now Samsung is bringing them to millions of additional devices.
Reports suggest that Samsung’s wider rollout will come through software updates tied to One UI 8, which is being gradually introduced across different regions. While many had speculated that Galaxy AI might eventually be made available to non-Samsung devices, the company has clarified that the tools will remain exclusive to Galaxy products. This ensures deeper integration with Samsung’s own hardware and software ecosystem, but also limits access for users of other Android brands.
Analysts believe that Samsung’s decision to scale AI across such a massive number of devices is part of a strategy to stay ahead of rivals like Apple and Google, who are also heavily focused on AI features in their smartphones.
