Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update to Galaxy S25 series users enrolled in the beta program, bringing a wave of stability improvements and bug fixes as the software inches closer to a full public release. The new beta build is currently available in multiple regions including India, the U.S., the UK, Germany and Poland via the Samsung Members app for the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra.
Unlike the first One UI 8.5 beta, which introduced flashy new customisation tools, Galaxy AI enhancements and interface tweaks, Beta 2 focuses squarely on refinement. Users testing the build report a slew of quality‑of‑life fixes that tackle lingering issues from the initial beta and enhance the overall day‑to‑day experience. Among the key fixes are Quick Panel and notification spacing glitches, resolved stuttering in call menus, improved volume button reliability, and corrections to Gallery folder behaviour so photos no longer jump unexpectedly between albums.
The update also addresses system stability problems such as intermittent reboots, forced closures of third‑party apps, and audio glitches when paired with Bluetooth accessories like car kits. Additionally, camera app improvements help iron out shutter and mode‑switching issues that cropped up in earlier beta builds.
While Beta 2 retains the core One UI 8.5 visual and functional upgrades including expanded lock screen options, refined transparency effects, and custom Quick Settings layouts the emphasis this time around is on polish and reliability rather than headline new features. The build size varies by region but generally falls in the 1–4 GB range, typical for a mid‑cycle beta maintenance release.
