Samsung Galaxy A57 Leaks: Exynos 1680 Chip and Big Upgrades Expected

Samsung’s next mid-range contender, the Galaxy A57, has started making headlines with several leaks pointing to major upgrades over its predecessor, the A56. According to reports, the upcoming device will be powered by Samsung’s new Exynos 1680 processor, likely paired with the in-house XClips 550 GPU, which may use AMD’s RDNA 3.5 architecture. This is expected to bring noticeable performance improvements, although exact benchmarks are still under wraps.

The Galaxy A57 is rumored to carry a bigger battery, possibly around 6,000 mAh, a significant jump for a mid-range device. Combined with optimized charging, this should provide extended usage for day-to-day tasks and multimedia.

On the camera front, Samsung may finally introduce a telephoto lens, a move aimed at competing with Chinese mid-range phones offering 2x or 3x optical zoom. Additionally, 4K video recording at 60fps could make its debut on the front and rear cameras, enhancing the video capture capabilities for content creators.

The Galaxy A56 already improved on its predecessor with faster processing, 10-bit Super HDR photo and video, and a thinner, lighter body. The A57 is expected to continue this trend, building on performance, camera enhancements, and battery life.

While many details remain unconfirmed, the Galaxy A57 is shaping up to be a compelling mid-range option for 2025, blending Samsung’s signature reliability with upgraded hardware. More official information is likely to surface later this year or early next year.
