Xiaomi has officially confirmed that its new Redmi Turbo 5 series will debut in China on January 29, 2026, marking the next step in the brand’s performance-oriented lineup.

The announcement comes via Xiaomi’s social channels and teasers, ending months of leaks and speculation ahead of the event. The Turbo 5 series will include at least two models, the standard Turbo 5 and the more powerful Turbo 5 Max both designed to bring strong performance and endurance to the mid-range segment.

The Turbo 5 Max is expected to be one of the first devices powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chipset and will sport a massive 9,000 mAh battery with 100 W fast charging, promising exceptional endurance and long battery life.

Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi has also teased elements like large OLED displays, modern designs, and advanced cooling solutions for sustained performance, although full specs will be revealed at the event itself.

The Turbo 5 series’ China launch is a key moment for the Redmi brand, with global variants expected later under POCO branding in markets like India and Europe.

Stay tuned for full hands-on coverage, pricing, and availability details when the phones are officially unveiled on January 29.
