The new device appears to lean into the brand’s gaming roots with some visual flair, but adopts a much slimmer, less overtly gaming–focused aesthetic compared with typical RedMagic devices earning early impressions as a “stealth gamer” phone.
The leaked images show the RedMagic 11 Air with a transparent back panel, a design cue popularized by several recent smartphones that lets users see internal components or visually striking elements beneath the glass. However, unlike heavier gaming-centric designs, the 11 Air’s overall build appears sleek and refined, suggesting Nubia (RedMagic’s parent) is targeting users who want gaming performance without the aggressive styling often associated with gaming phones.
According to the renders, the handset’s rear houses clean camera modules that integrate smoothly into the back, while the transparent area appears less busy and more polished than past gaming transparent designs. Early leaks do not confirm the exact hardware specs yet, but the visual direction hints at a device that may balance performance and mainstream appeal.
The shift in design language from bold RGB gamer aesthetics toward a subtler “stealth” look could signal RedMagic’s intent to broaden the appeal of its lineup beyond traditional gaming enthusiasts.
