RedMagic 11 Air launches in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 7,000 mAh battery

Redmagic 11 Air

RedMagic has officially launched its RedMagic 11 Air smartphone in China, bringing a powerful new gaming-focused device with flagship-tier hardware and advanced cooling to the market.

The RedMagic 11 Air features a 6.85-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate, ultra-narrow bezels, and high touch sampling rates for responsive gameplay. It sports a 16 MP under-display front camera for a clean full-screen appearance and a dual-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP main sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens.

Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with RedMagic’s own RedCore R4 gaming coprocessor, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The device runs RedMagic OS 11.0 based on Android 16, and includes gaming-centric features such as CUBE Sky Engine, professional shoulder triggers, and a PC emulator for select titles.

Thermal management is a highlight: the phone packs an active cooling fan combined with a thick vapor chamber and graphene copper foil to keep temperatures in check during long sessions, a rare feature for a slim gaming-oriented phone.

Battery life gets a big boost with a 7,000 mAh cell that supports 120 W wired fast charging and bypass charging, making it suitable for extended gaming without frequent recharges. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, infrared, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

At launch in China, the RedMagic 11 Air is priced starting at ¥3,699 (~$530) for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant and ¥4,399 (~$631) for the 16 GB + 512 GB model. It arrives in Quantum Black and Stardust White colours, with an Aurora Silver option arriving later.
