Realme has officially launched the Realme 16 5G smartphone as part of its expanding 16 series, debuting alongside the Realme 16 Pro 5G in Vietnam. The standard Realme 16 brings a strong mix of endurance, display quality, cameras and robust build to the mid-range segment, and is expected to roll out to additional markets in the coming months.

The Realme 16 features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals and touchscreen responsiveness. Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage, providing solid day-to-day performance.

One of the biggest highlights is its large 7,000 mAh battery, which supports 60 W fast charging and reverse wired charging, a rare combination at this price point. The phone also carries comprehensive dust and water resistance ratings (IP66/68/69/69K) for added durability.

Photography on the Realme 16 is handled by a dual rear camera setup headlined by a 50 MP Sony IMX852 sensor paired with a 2 MP monochrome lens, while the front offers a 50 MP selfie camera. The design includes a unique selfie mirror on the rear next to the camera bar, allowing users to frame shots using the main camera for better quality selfies.

Realme ships the phone with Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 out of the box. Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Pricing for the Realme 16 5G in Vietnam starts at roughly VND 11,490,000 (~₹40,000) for the 8 GB + 256 GB model and VND 12,490,000 for the 12 GB + 256 GB variant, with Black Cloud and White Swan colour options. Wider availability outside Vietnam, including India and other regions, is expected soon but has not yet been confirmed.
