Oppo’s next flagship lineup, the Oppo Find X9 series, is shaping up to be one of the brand’s biggest generational upgrades in years. Expected to debut in China on October 16, 2025, the Find X9 family will bring a fresh design, new MediaTek hardware, and some serious camera innovation in collaboration with Hasselblad.
A New Look for the Find Series
Early renders and live leaks show Oppo moving away from its traditional circular camera module to a square-shaped island positioned on the top-left corner of the back panel. The look is cleaner, more industrial, and in line with the recent trend of minimal, flat-edged flagship designs.
The series is expected to include at least two main variants the Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro with a possible Ultra or Plus model in some regions.
Flagship-Level Display and Performance
Under the hood, both models are rumored to feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, making Oppo one of the first manufacturers to adopt MediaTek’s latest high-end SoC. Reports suggest up to 16 GB of RAM and large storage configurations, backed by Oppo’s new Trinity Engine for improved power efficiency and sustained performance.
The base Find X9 is said to sport a 6.59-inch flat OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, while the Pro version will step up to a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a higher 1.5K resolution and adaptive refresh. Expect the same fluid visuals and HDR performance that Oppo’s flagships are known for.
Massive Battery and Faster Charging
Battery life could be another strong point for the Find X9 lineup. The standard variant reportedly packs a 7,025 mAh cell, while the Pro version might go even higher at 7,500 mAh both supporting 80 W wired and 50 W wireless charging. If these numbers hold true, the X9 series could become one of the best battery performers in its class.
Camera Upgrades with Hasselblad Touch
Photography is where Oppo seems most ambitious. The standard Find X9 will allegedly carry a triple 50 MP setup (main, ultra-wide, and telephoto), but the Pro version could steal the spotlight with a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, rumored to be based on Samsung’s HP5 sensor.
This sensor is tipped to deliver sharper long-range zoom and improved low-light detail, while the rest of the system maintains Oppo’s color calibration and Hasselblad’s signature tuning. The series may also offer 4K 120 fps video recording with Dolby Vision, a feature usually reserved for high-end flagships.
What to Expect at Launch
Oppo has not officially confirmed pricing or global rollout details yet, though the Chinese launch is expected mid-October, followed by India and other Asian markets later this year. Software will likely be ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, out of the box.
If all these leaks prove accurate, the Oppo Find X9 series could be the company’s boldest step yet toward competing directly with Samsung’s Galaxy S26 and Xiaomi’s 14 Ultra in both performance and imaging innovation.
