Nothing Phone 4a specs leak as Glyph Bar teased

Nothing has started teasing the upcoming Nothing Phone (4a), and early leaks already paint a fairly detailed picture of the midrange device. The company itself confirmed via X that the phone will introduce a redesigned “Glyph Bar” lighting system on the back.

The new Glyph Bar is said to replace the older segmented Glyph layout with a cleaner strip-style implementation. Nothing claims the system will be up to 40% brighter and deliver a more natural, bleed-free glow. Reports suggest the bar could use multiple individually controllable LEDs for notifications and animations, continuing the brand’s signature transparent design language.

Launch timing is also becoming clear. Multiple sources point to a March 5, 2026 global event, where both the Phone (4a) and a possible Pro variant are expected to debut.

On the hardware side, the Phone (4a) is widely rumored to run the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a step up from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 used in the previous generation. This should bring modest CPU and GPU gains but keep the device firmly in the upper-midrange tier.

Display specs are tipped to include a 6.7–6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, while the Pro model may push to 144Hz. Battery capacity is expected around the 5,000–5,400mAh range with 50W wired charging, similar to but slightly refined over last year’s model.

Camera leaks suggest a 50MP main sensor, accompanied by an ultrawide and possibly a telephoto lens (with some reports mentioning 3.5x optical zoom). A 32MP selfie camera is also expected on the front.

Compared to the Nothing Phone (3a), the biggest visible change appears to be the new Glyph Bar and the chipset bump, while the overall formula transparent design, midrange chip, and 50MP camera setup remains familiar.
