Nothing Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro Tipped to Launch in Early March

Nothing Phone (4a)

Nothing’s upcoming Phone (4a) series is starting to take shape as fresh leaks reveal key launch details and early specs. Last week, CEO Carl Pei described the new models as a “complete evolution,” though he stopped short of sharing concrete information. Now, reliable leakster Yogesh Brar has filled in some of the gaps.

According to Brar, the Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro will launch globally in early March, with March 5 emerging as the most likely announcement date.

One confirmed upgrade is storage. Nothing has already been revealed that the Phone (4a) models will switch to UFS 3.1 storage, replacing the UFS 2.2 used in the Phone (3a) series. While not the newest standard, it should still offer better performance, though a slight price increase is expected.

Leaks suggest that both phones will be powered by Snapdragon 7-series chipsets, although the exact models haven’t been disclosed yet. Pei has also promised improvements to the display and cameras, but specific details remain under wraps for now.

Battery capacity sees a modest bump on the Pro model. According to the EU EPREL database, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro will pack a 5,080mAh battery, rated for 1,400 charge cycles, compared to the 5,000mAh unit on the Phone (3a) Pro. Charging speeds remain unchanged at 50W.

Another notable upgrade is durability. The EPREL listing shows that the Phone (4a) Pro will carry an IP65 rating, an improvement over the IP64 rating of its predecessor.
