Nothing has officially confirmed the launch date for the Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition, a special variant of the Phone 3a created in collaboration with fans worldwide. The device will be fully revealed on December 9, 2025, marking the company’s most ambitious community-driven hardware project yet.
The Community Edition keeps the same internal hardware as the standard Phone 3a but stands out through its unique, crowd-designed aesthetics. The winning concept called “Translucent Memories”features a turquoise-green transparent back panel, accented with yellow volume buttons and a bright pink Essential Key. The design also includes custom software elements such as exclusive wallpapers, UI visuals, and a revised packaging experience shaped entirely by community input.
Nothing opened multiple categories for global submissions earlier this year, including hardware design, software appearance, accessories, packaging, and marketing. Selected winners received cash prizes and worked directly with the company to refine their ideas into a final retail product. According to Nothing, this project reflects its long-term goal of making products “created with the community, not just for them.”
While the look and experience are new, the device maintains the Phone 3a’s mid-range foundation, including a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, AMOLED display, and a battery capacity around 5000 mAh. The Community Edition is expected to ship in limited quantities, positioning it as a collectible variant rather than a performance upgrade.
More details, pricing, and availability will be confirmed at the December 9 event, where Nothing is expected to showcase the complete design, software customizations, and bundled accessories unique to this edition.
