Nothing has begun officially teasing the upcoming Nothing Phone (4a) on X (formerly Twitter), giving fans an early look at the device’s design before its full debut.
The company shared an official image revealing the familiar transparent industrial aesthetic, but with a noticeable twist. The new model introduces a redesigned lighting system called the Glyph Bar, replacing the older multi-strip Glyph layout. The updated setup reportedly uses nine individually controlled mini-LEDs and is claimed to be around 40% brighter than previous implementations.
From the teaser, Nothing appears to be evolving the visual identity of its mid-range lineup rather than completely redesigning it. The rear still keeps the signature see-through look that has defined the brand since the Phone (1), but the lighting arrangement looks cleaner and more linear. The early reveal is clearly meant to build hype ahead of the official launch event.
Leaks and reports suggest the Phone (4a) will target the upper mid-range segment. It is widely expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset with Android 16 out of the box, paired with up to 12GB RAM and fast UFS 3.1 storage. A 120Hz OLED display and a battery in the 5,000mAh+ range with roughly 50W charging are also being tipped.
Nothing has already confirmed that the Phone (4a) series, likely including a Pro variant, is scheduled to launch on March 5, 2026, during a global event. The company is reportedly skipping a flagship Phone (4) this year, putting more focus on making the “a” series closer to a flagship-like experience.
Pricing hasn’t been officially announced yet, but early leaks hint at a slight increase over the previous generation, potentially starting around the €389–€409 range in Europe depending on configuration.
