Massive A57 Leak: Dual 50MP Cameras & Exynos 1680 Confirmed

Galaxy A57

The calendar may still read November 2025, but the gears are already turning on Samsung’s biggest mid-range devices for next year. The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy A57 expected to land in early Q1 2026is now seeing a consistent stream of leaks detailing significant hardware upgrades that look set to redefine the phone’s value proposition.

Recent reports, sourced from reliable firmware trackers and industry insiders, suggest the A57 will not merely be an incremental update. Samsung appears to be doubling down on both performance and camera capability to fend off aggressive competition from players like Nothing and Xiaomi.

At the heart of the Galaxy A57 is expected to be the brand-new Exynos 1680 chipset. This in-house silicon is rumored to feature a powerful Eclipse 550 GPU, leveraging AMD’s RDMA architecture. The A-series has often faced criticism for mid-tier gaming performance, but the introduction of a new-generation Exynos chipinternally codenamed ‘Terra’is a clear signal that Samsung intends to close that gap. Initial benchmarks suggest a substantial leap in GPU performance over the A56’s Exynos 1580, which is exactly what a high-refresh-rate device needs. The phone is expected to launch running Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8.

Perhaps the most surprising leak concerns the camera hardware. While the rear setup is expected to maintain a versatile triple array, led by a 50 MP primary sensor (complete with Optical Image Stabilization or OIS), the front camera is where the device shines. The Galaxy A57 is now strongly tipped to feature a 50 MP front-facing camera. This represents a dramatic increase in resolution and detail over its predecessor, indicating Samsung’s ambition to dominate the social media and video calling demographic in the mid-range.

Beyond the key upgrades, Samsung is thankfully retaining the features that have made the A-series a reliable pick. We expect a large 6.72-inch Super AMOLED panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and excellent peak brightness, ensuring outdoor visibility is never an issue. The dependable 5,000 mAh cell will return, now reportedly paired with 45W wired fast charging, a significant speed bump that should get the phone from empty to full much faster. Finally, the device is expected to retain an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, providing flagship-level durability at a mid-range price.

While official pricing is not yet available, the consensus among analysts suggests the Galaxy A57 will launch around the $450 to $500 mark globally. Following Samsung’s established rhythm, we expect the phone to be officially announced and released in March 2026.
