But the Pixel 9 Pro takes a different approach. It’s not chasing benchmark numbers. Instead, it’s trying to be… smarter. It quietly makes things easier. Whether you’re typing by voice, editing a photo with Magic Editor, or letting AI summarize calls  it feels like the phone is thinking for you.

It’s less about “how fast can I open this app?” and more about “can my phone just do this for me?” And yeah  it often can.

Software: iOS vs Android in 2025

This year, both platforms made some big moves. iOS 18 keeps everything familiar, polished, secure, predictable. If you’re used to the Apple ecosystem, everything connects like magic. Handoff, AirDrop, iCloud  it’s all still super tight.

If you love shooting photos, the Pixel 9 Pro is probably going to be your favorite. It just gets skin tones right. Low light shots are crisp. Even cloudy skies look full of detail. It has this natural vibe that makes you want to post straight from the camera roll.

But the iPhone 16 Pro takes over when it comes to video. The stabilization is unreal. The sound is rich. And now with spatial video and ProRes support, it’s ready for serious creators. If Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts are your thing, this iPhone is the tool you’ll want.

Each camera is great  but they shine in different areas.

Battery Life & Charging

Both phones easily last a full day. With moderate use, I was hitting 7 to 8 hours of screen time on both. That said, the iPhone 16 Pro stretched out a bit more consistently  probably thanks to that efficient A18 chip.

Charging is fine on both, but Pixel surprised me with bypass charging  letting the phone run off the charger without heating the battery. If you’re gaming while plugged in, that’s actually useful.

MagSafe still gives the iPhone the edge for accessories though. Wallets, stands, chargers, it all just clicks into place.
