Huawei has once again secured the number one position in the global smartwatch market, according to the latest IDC (International Data Corporation) report, continuing its strong momentum in the wearables segment.
IDC’s data shows Huawei leading worldwide smartwatch shipments, placing it ahead of major rivals such as Apple, Xiaomi, and Samsung. The company’s dominance is largely driven by its broad product portfolio, which spans premium models like the Watch GT and health-focused Watch series, alongside more affordable options that appeal to a wider audience.
A key factor behind Huawei’s performance is its strength in China, the world’s largest wearable market, combined with steady growth across Asia and Europe. IDC notes that Huawei’s focus on health tracking, long battery life, and competitive pricing has resonated well with consumers, helping it maintain shipment leadership even as overall smartwatch demand stabilizes.
The report also highlights Huawei’s continued investment in its HarmonyOS-based wearable ecosystem, which has improved cross-device integration and user experience. While competitors have posted solid numbers, Huawei’s consistent volumes and diversified lineup allowed it to remain at the top of the rankings.
With the global wearable market expected to see moderate growth, IDC suggests Huawei is well positioned to retain its lead, especially as health-focused smartwatches and fitness-oriented features continue to drive consumer interest.
