Huawei officially unveiled the Mate 70 Air, its latest addition to the Mate 70 series, featuring a massive display, lightweight design, and flagship-level internals. The device launched in China on November 6, 2025, and is now available in multiple RAM and storage variants.
The Mate 70 Air stands out with its 6.6 mm slim profile and 208 g weight, making it one of the thinnest large-screen flagships on the market. It offers IP68/IP69 certification for dust and water resistance and even stylus support, a rare combo in this form factor.
Up front, it packs a 7.0-inch LTPO OLED display with 1 billion colors, 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR Vivid, and an impressive 4000 nits peak brightness. Protection is handled by Kunlun Glass.
Under the hood, Huawei uses the Kirin 9020 A/B chipset, paired with 12 GB or 16 GB RAM, and up to 512 GB internal storage. The device runs on HarmonyOS 5.1.
For photography, the phone carries a triple-camera setup:
- 50 MP main (OIS)
- 12 MP telephoto (3× optical zoom)
- 8 MP ultrawide
Other features include Laser AF, color spectrum sensor, and 4K video with gyro-EIS.
The front hosts a 10.7 MP selfie camera with 4K video support.
Powering the device is a 6500 mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 66 W wired charging and 5 W reverse charging. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Infrared, and BDS satellite messaging (China-only).
The Mate 70 Air comes in Black, White, and Silver colors, priced at around €510, and continues Huawei’s trend of pushing slim yet powerful smartphone design.
