
Honor has officially teased its upcoming Honor Power 2 smartphone, confirming the launch date and several headline features ahead of its unveiling in **China on January 5, 2026 positioning it as one of the first major launches of the new year.
Honor confirmed the January 5 launch in China, revealing that the Power 2 will arrive with a massive 10,080 mAh battery the largest ever fitted on an Honor smartphone and will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset.
Official teasers also show the phone in three colour options: Snow White, Midnight Black and Sunrise Orange, and highlight a large camera island on the rear that resembles designs seen on recent premium devices.
According to Honor’s marketing and leaks, the 10,080 mAh fourth-generation silicon-carbon battery is expected to deliver exceptional endurance, with official claims suggesting around 20.3 hours of continuous screen-on time, 22 hours of short-video playback and 14.2 hours of gaming on a single charge. The phone will support 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging, allowing it to power accessories and other devices in a pinch.
Official and leaked details point to a 6.79-inch LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, along with peak brightness figures as high as 8,000 nits for excellent outdoor visibility. Graphics and postings confirm a dual rear camera setup led by a 50 MP main sensor and a 16 MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
