Honor Power 2 Leak: 10,080mAh Battery & 8,000 nits Display

Honor Power 2

Ahead of its January 5, 2026 launch, new Honor Power 2 leaks and carrier listings have revealed key specifications that paint a picture of a battery-centric smartphone with a record-breaking power cell and extremely bright display. The details come from unofficial leaks, carrier posts and official teasers shared in the tech community.

The most striking highlight of the Honor Power 2 is its huge 10,080 mAh fourth-generation silicon-carbon battery, one of the largest ever seen in a smartphone. Despite that enormous capacity, leaked listings suggest the phone manages a relatively slim 7.98 mm profile and ~216 g weight. The battery supports 80 W wired fast charging and 27 W reverse wired charging, letting it double as a powerful external charger for other devices, though wireless charging is absent.

Under the hood, the device is tipped to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, delivering capable performance and efficiency in daily tasks and multimedia. Leaks also point to 12 GB of RAM paired with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, alongside virtual RAM expansion for smoother multitasking.

The display is another standout spec: a 6.79-inch LTPS OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, reportedly capable of up to 8,000 nits peak brightness, an exceptional level of luminance for outdoor visibility and HDR content.

Camera leaks suggest a dual rear camera system headlined by a 50 MP primary sensor paired with a 5 MP secondary lens, and a 16 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls, covering everyday photography needs.

On durability, Honor has teased that the Power 2 will carry robust ingress protection, with IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings in some listings meaning dustproofing plus protection against water submersion and high-pressure jets making it suitable for tough environments and outdoor use.

Design leaks show a metal frame with a flat display and a rectangular camera island on the back, with colour options including Sunrise Orange, Snow White and Midnight Black. Early render leaks resemble premium designs, though online responses note aesthetic similarity to other flagship models.
