The company has announced that the Magic8 Pro Air will be unveiled in China on January 19, 2026. The announcement came through Honor’s social media teasers and official posts that confirmed the date and name of the device. Pre-orders for the phone have already begun on Chinese e-commerce platforms like JD.com ahead of the launch.
Design & Build
The Magic8 Pro Air is being marketed as an ultra-slim, lightweight flagship, much like “Air” variants from other brands aimed at combining premium performance with a thin form factor. Honor’s teasers and leaked renders suggest a device measuring around 6.1–6.3 mm thick with a weight near 155–158 grams, making it lighter and more compact compared with many standard flagship phones.
Official images and leaks show that it will feature a wide horizontal camera island on the back with a triple-lens setup and a dual LED flash, framed by a metal frame and a glass backplate. The device is expected to be offered in at least four colors: black, white, purple, and orange.
Display & Performance (Rumored)
Early reports indicate that the Magic8 Pro Air will sport a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with a high-resolution panel (likely around 1.5K) and slim bezels for a premium viewing experience.
Under the hood, the phone is rumoured to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, a 3 nm-class flagship-level SoC designed for efficient performance and heat management crucial in such a thin body.
Battery & Charging (Rumored)
Despite its ultra-thin profile, the Magic8 Pro Air is expected to pack a substantial 5,500 mAh battery. Honor is widely reported to employ advanced battery technologies (including silicon-carbon anodes) to balance slimness with endurance. Fast wired charging possibly around 90 W may also be included, though wireless charging might be absent due to space constraints in the chassis.
Camera (Rumored)
Details about the camera system are limited at this stage, but leaks and teasers suggest a triple rear camera setup, potentially including a telephoto lens alongside the main and additional sensors. Being part of the Magic8 family, strong imaging performance is expected, though official specs have not been fully shared yet.
Storage & Variants
Pre-order listings show that the Magic8 Pro Air will be offered in multiple storage variants, including 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB options, likely paired with generous RAM configurations typical of flagship models.
