Google has officially unveiled the Pixel 10a, expanding its popular mid-range lineup with updated hardware, improved display tech, and enhanced software features. The announcement was made on 18 February 2026, with pre-orders opening immediately and general availability set for early March 2026 in key markets including Europe.
Launch and Availability
The Pixel 10a was announced today, 18 February 2026, as Google’s latest “a-series” phone aimed at buyers who want core Pixel features at a more affordable price point. Pre-orders in Europe began on the same day, and the phone is expected to hit retail channels and online stores in most regions beginning 5–6 March 2026.
Design and Display
The Pixel 10a retains the familiar design language of recent Pixels, with flat edges, a centered punch-hole display, and clean, straightforward styling. It features a 6.3-inch Actua OLED screen with up to 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness approaching 3,000 nits, this makes the screen noticeably brighter and more vibrant than the Pixel 9a’s display.
The phone also includes IP68 dust and water resistance and Gorilla Glass 7i protection for added durability.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Pixel 10a is powered by Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, the same core silicon family used in the Pixel 9 series paired with smooth software optimization. The phone ships with Android 16 and promises seven years of software and security updates, a significant advantage for long-term users.
Cameras
Camera performance remains a strong suit for the Pixel 10a:
- 48 MP main camera with improved processing
- 13 MP ultrawide sensor
- 13 MP front camera
Google’s computational photography continues to deliver strong output in daylight and low light, keeping the Pixel 10a competitive with higher-priced rivals.
Battery and Charging
A 5,100 mAh battery powers the Pixel 10a, offering solid endurance for typical all-day use. Fast charging support helps reduce downtime, though Google does not promote exceptionally high wattage charging.
Price and Colours

In Europe, the Pixel 10a is expected to retail starting at €499 for the base 128 GB model. Pricing may vary slightly across different countries due to local taxes and import duties.
The phone will be available in a range of finishes including Obsidian, Fog, Lavender, and Berry.
