Clean, minimal, one less hole in the chassis. Great in theory. Frustrating in practice for a surprisingly large number of people.
Travelers who swap SIMs abroad. Users on smaller regional carriers. People who’ve been burned by eSIM transfer headaches during phone upgrades. For all of them, the Pixel 10’s eSIM-only approach wasn’t a feature, it was a dealbreaker. Until now.

First, you lose mmWave 5G support, which the US variant includes. For most people in most cities, that won’t matter mmWave coverage remains patchy and limited to dense urban corridors. Second, warranty terms differ slightly, though Woot backs the device with its own 1-year warranty, which covers the basics.
For context on where this sits competitively: the Samsung Galaxy S26 and OnePlus 13 both retain physical SIM trays in their global variants, making them the path of least resistance for SIM-dependent users right now. Apple’s iPhone 16 series followed the same eSIM-only trajectory as Pixel 10 in the US so iPhone users face the same limitations. Google is clearly committed to eSIM-only going forward, which makes this Canadian variant deal more relevant, not less.
If physical SIM support is non-negotiable but you’re open to a more affordable option, Google’s own Pixel 10a is worth watching; it’s expected to retain the SIM tray as part of its broader accessibility-focused positioning.
The price angle deserves a mention too. If physical SIM genuinely doesn’t matter to you, Amazon has the standard US Pixel 10 at $549 right now $50 cheaper, more colour options, and full mmWave 5G support included. That’s the better deal on pure specs. But for the SIM tray crowd, the $50 premium on Woot buys something Amazon simply can’t offer.
The bottom line is straightforward. Google made a decision with the Pixel 10 that prioritises a cleaner future over present-day convenience. That’s a reasonable call but it left a real gap for a real group of users. This Woot listing quietly fills that gap, at a fair price, from a trusted retailer.
