New leaks have revealed early pricing details for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series, and there’s an unexpected twist: the Galaxy S26 Ultra may launch at a lower price than its predecessor.
According to retailer listings and reliable tipsters, Samsung is expected to ditch the 128GB base storage option across the S26 lineup, making 256GB the new minimum for the Galaxy S26 and S26+. This shift is likely to push up entry prices for the standard models in several markets.
However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra appears to buck the trend. Leaked European pricing suggests the 256GB and 512GB Ultra variants could be around €100 cheaper than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, while the 1TB model is expected to stay at the same price as last year. If accurate, this would be a rare flagship price drop in a market where component costs, especially memory, are rising.
The pricing strategy suggests Samsung may be absorbing higher memory costs on the Ultra to keep its top-tier model competitive, while allowing modest price increases on the standard S26 models due to higher base storage.
