Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro color lineup is reportedly getting smaller and more interesting. Weibo leaker Instant Digital claims the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will launch in just three colors: Dark Cherry, Light Blue, and Silver-Gray. If accurate, Apple is trimming down from the four finishes of recent Pro models typically offered at launch.
The standout is Dark Cherry, a deep, rich red with a premium metallic finish described as replacing one of Apple’s darker options. It’s been rumored for months across multiple sources, making it the most credible of the three. Apple has never offered a proper red finish on the Pro lineup before, so this would be a genuine first if it materializes.
Light Blue is expected to be softer and less saturated than previous blue Pro finishes cleaner and more minimal in the hand. Silver-Gray fills the neutral slot, likely combining elements of Apple’s traditional Silver and Natural Titanium aesthetics.
Why only three? The leak doesn’t explain speculation about production simplification or a design refresh is floating around, but there’s no evidence from Apple supporting any of it.
The color reveal comes alongside other iPhone 18 Pro rumors that are building a consistent picture A20 Pro chip on 2nm, 12GB RAM, 5,235–5,425mAh battery for the Pro Max, improved cameras, and a September 2026 launch. Color options are typically among the last details finalized in Apple’s product development cycle, meaning these three could still change.
