Tecno Camon Slim spotted with Dimensity 7100 and ultra-slim design

Tecno Camon Slim

Thin phones and big batteries have always been opposites in smartphone design. You pick one or you compromise on both. Tecno’s new Camon Slim is trying to break that rule entirely by certification documents and the official product page reveals a phone measuring just 6.39mm thick while packing what could be a 7,000mAh battery, an unusual combination that’s drawing genuine attention before the phone has even fully launched.

The battery story is the headline, but it comes with a caveat worth understanding. Different regional certifications list different numbers; an FCC filing specifically mentions a 7,000mAh typical battery, while other regional certifications and spec databases reference 5,800mAh or 6,000mAh instead. The FCC figure is the one most associated with Tecno’s marketing push, but the final capacity your unit ships with may genuinely depend on which market you’re buying in. Worth confirming locally once retail units land. Charging comes in at 60W wired, with certification documents referencing a U600TSA charger model.

The rest of the spec sheet supports a genuinely premium-feeling mid-ranger. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display runs at 144Hz with 1.5K resolution and a dense ~440 ppi sharp, smooth, and well above what you’d expect at this price tier. Performance comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 paired with a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage solid, dependable mid-range performance rather than flagship ambition.

Camera duties fall to a 50MP main sensor with a 2MP secondary and dual LED flash on the rear, plus a 13MP front camera for selfies. Connectivity covers 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C, and FM radio, a genuinely complete package with nothing obviously missing. The software runs Android 16 with HiOS on top.
