Samsung’s budget lineup has a design problem that’s been hard to ignore. While the A57 and A37 modernized upward, the A2x series kept the waterdrop notch alive long past its expiry date, an embarrassing holdover in an era of punch-hole displays. Based on fresh CAD-based renders from reliable leaker OnLeaks, that’s finally changing with the Galaxy A27.
The centered punch-hole camera is the headline. It sounds minor until you consider that every A2x before it shipped with a notch making even budget Redmi and Realme phones look more modern by comparison. Combined with thinner bezels and a cleaner camera island on the rear, the A27 now reads as a Galaxy device rather than a budget afterthought.

The dimensions land at 162.3 × 78.6 × 7.9mm with a 6.7-inch FHD+ display reportedly running at 120Hz, genuinely solid for the price tier. A Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 handles processing duties with 6GB or 8GB RAM options, and unlike the A37 and A57 which dropped the slot, the A27 retains a microSD card up to 1TB. USB-C, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Samsung’s Key Island button layout round out the package. The expected 5,000mAh battery keeps things practical, while wireless charging remains unconfirmed.
The camera triple stack likely 50MP + 8MP + 2MP mirrors previous A2x configurations and won’t break records. But this phone was never about cameras. It’s about finally giving Samsung’s most accessible lineup a face that matches 2026.
IMEI listings suggest a launch is imminent. Black and Lavender are the confirmed color options.
