Redmi has officially launched the Turbo 5 series in China, introducing the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max as performance-focused smartphones with an emphasis on battery life and fast charging.
The Redmi Turbo 5 Max sits at the top of the lineup. It features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. One of its biggest highlights is a massive 9,000mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging, along with a 50MP main camera, metal frame, and high-level dust and water resistance.
The standard Redmi Turbo 5 offers a more balanced approach. It comes with a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED 120Hz display, the Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, and a large 7,560mAh battery, also paired with 100W fast charging. Camera duties are handled by a 50MP primary sensor, and the phone runs HyperOS based on Android 16.
Both models feature stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint scanners, and fast UFS storage, targeting users who want flagship-level endurance and performance at aggressive pricing.
The Redmi Turbo 5 series is currently China-only, with global availability expected later, possibly under the POCO branding.
