Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 mid-range phones are shaping up to be significant camera upgrades over their predecessors, according to fresh leaks and hardware tips ahead of an expected early-2026 launch.
Both the A37 and A57 are tipped to ditch the smaller sensors used in previous A-series models in favour of a larger 50 MP main camera, likely either Sony’s IMX906 or Samsung’s own ISOCELL S5KGNJ 1/1.56-inch sensor. A bigger sensor means better light capture, improved dynamic range and stronger low-light performance, which could make a noticeable difference in everyday photography compared with the Galaxy A36 and A56 series.
Beyond the main sensor, the two models are expected to diverge slightly in their secondary optics. The more affordable Galaxy A37 is rumoured to pair the 50 MP main camera with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP macro unit, along with a 12 MP selfie camera up front. The Galaxy A57 is said to step this up with a 13 MP ultra-wide camera and a 12 MP front-facing sensor, potentially delivering broader field-of-view shots and higher-resolution selfies.
Neither phone is expected to include a dedicated telephoto zoom lens, but the move to larger sensors and stronger optics across the board still positions both the A37 and A57 as notable mid-range imaging upgrades. Other expected highlights include bright AMOLED panels, solid battery life and refreshed designs, rounding out what could be one of Samsung’s most competitive A-series refreshes in recent years.
