Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of the long-rumored Xiaomi 17 Ultra, scheduling a dedicated event next week (|26 December) in China for the unveiling of its newest flagship. The announcement puts an end to months of speculation and positions the 17 Ultra as Xiaomi’s most premium offering heading into 2026.
According to teasers and insider reports, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to continue the series’ focus on flagship performance and camera excellence. Leaks suggest the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, delivering top-tier performance and advanced AI capabilities.
Photography is also shaping up to be a highlight: early hints point to a strong Leica collaboration, with a large main sensor and a versatile telephoto system likely including a 200 MP zoom camera and enhanced ultra-wide capabilities though Xiaomi has kept official specs under wraps ahead of the launch.
The teaser confirms that Xiaomi will host the launch next week in China, with expectations of a global rollout in early 2026 following the domestic debut.
