Huawei has expanded its foldable lineup globally with the launch of the Mate X7, bringing its latest hardware, upgraded cameras, and a powerful in-house chipset to international markets after its initial China release.
The Mate X7 features a large 8-inch LTPO OLED foldable display along with a 6.49-inch cover screen, both supporting 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Bright panels, high colour accuracy and fast touch response put the device in flagship territory.
Powering the foldable is Huawei’s new Kirin 9030 Pro, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, running on HarmonyOS 6. The flagship chipset aims to deliver strong performance and improved efficiency despite Huawei’s limited access to external silicon suppliers.

The camera setup includes a 50MP main RYYB sensor with variable aperture and OIS, a 40MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP telephoto macro camera capable of optical zoom. Both the inner and outer displays carry 8MP selfie cameras.
The Mate X7 packs a 5,600mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging, plus reverse wireless support. Impressively, the foldable is rated IP58/IP59 for dust and water resistance, making it one of the more durable designs in the category.
The device is priced around €2,099 for the global 16GB + 512GB variant and comes in Black, Brocade White, and Nebula Red.
